Lyon’s most romantic restaurants

Ah, Lyon… the city where even a simple dinner can turn into a magical moment. After trying out dozens of places as a food lover (and a lover of my city), I’ve decided to share with you my favorites for a romantic dinner, where you can really feel the soul of the city and savor every moment.
Maison No – The enchanting terrace
If you love summer evenings with a gentle breeze and a cosy view, Maison No is a must. Its intimate terrace is perfect for a dinner for two, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The dishes are quite creative since the arrival of the new Chef last year, but what I really like best is the gentle ambience on this perched terrace, almost like a well-kept secret.
Bulle – The gastronomic escape
Bulle is a little cocoon. I like to go there when I want to impress without overdoing it. The plates are refined, every detail counts, and the service is delicate but never stuffy. For me, Bulle is the place where you can talk, laugh and feel that time stands still just for the two of you (and with a view over Lyon, please).
B.L.O – Modern charm
When the weather’s nice, there’s nothing like a boat trip on the Saône or Rhône rivers. There are several ways to rent a boat or enjoy an aperitif cruise. For example, some offers include a 1.5-hour cruise with an aperitif from around €30-40 per person, which is very pleasant in summer. We embark from quays close to the center, sail gently, and watch the bridges and facades go by at sunset. It’s one of my favorite ways to spend a stress-free moment for two. Café Terroir – Warm and authentic
For those who love the real taste of the region, Café Terroir is a jewel. Here, romance is lived in simplicity: good wine, tasty local produce, and a décor that tells the story of Lyon. What I love is that every dish seems to be prepared with love and respect for tradition.
Arsène – Discreet elegance
For me, Arsène is the epitome of romantic elegance. The soft lighting, attentive service and fine cuisine create a memorable moment without overdoing it. It’s the kind of restaurant where every detail counts and you feel pampered. Perfect for a date!
GAHECA – Contemporary intimacy
Last but not least, GAHECA, the latest of my favorites. Modern and cosy, it’s a place where you feel almost at home, while enjoying inventive cuisine. I particularly like their selection of wines, always the perfect accompaniment to a romantic dinner. Yes, you’ve guessed it: I love wine!
