Responsible consumption
Being a hotelier today means learning to do things with common sense: limiting waste, favoring what lasts over time and avoiding unnecessary energy expenditure. This approach is part of our commitment to the Green Key label.

Rooms designed to avoid energy waste
In many hotels, mini-bars have become a standard feature. Yet these little refrigerators run continuously, even when they’re not in use. A minibar represents between 30% and 50% of in-room electricity consumption. We have therefore chosen not to equip our rooms with mini-bars. This decision significantly reduces the establishment’s electricity consumption, while avoiding the need for unnecessary equipment.
Instead, we prefer a simpler, more user-friendly solution: our travelers can enjoy a bottle of freshly filtered still or sparkling water at any time, free of charge, at the hotel bar. Alternatively, a varied local bar menu is available to our guests.
A sustainable alternative to bottled water
What’s more, these water bottles also enable us to limit the use of plastic and unnecessary transport, thanks to the Nordaq system. The Nordaq principle is based on a patented filtration system. Tap water is filtered to eliminate impurities, unwanted tastes and odors, while retaining the mineral salts naturally present. One of Nordaq’s key arguments is the reduction of its environmental footprint.
The system is based on what the brand sometimes calls the “6 NOs”:
- no disposable bottles
- no plastic
- no long-distance water transport
- no storage of water pallets
- less waste
- less logistics.
By filtering and bottling water directly on site, hotels avoid transporting mineral bottles and reduce plastic waste. Since its creation, the Nordaq solution has eliminated several billion single-use plastic bottles worldwide.

Hospitality products distributed with discretion
In the hotel industry, many hospitality products unfortunately end up unused, yet replaced or discarded as a precaution. Studies on bathroom products show that, on average, only 15% of the contents are actually used before the product is thrown away. In other words, 85% of the product and its packaging can become waste after just one stay.
Worldwide, major hotel groups throw away around 5.5 billion small amenity bottles (shampoo, shower gel…) every year. (According to Green Getaways).
To avoid this waste, our items are offered free of charge at reception, but only on request. This allows us to reduce the consumption of single-use products while continuing to meet the needs of travelers who really need them.
Environmentally-friendly cleaning products
- ammonia
- petrochemical solvents
- synthetic colorants
- artificial fragrances
This approach limits the diffusion of chemical substances into indoor air, wastewater and surfaces.
